The bet...

Those who have read my previous post would surely know how she felt after her previous India trip... she went to India yet again... And this time for a long 3 months... Did she come back feeling better? Or was she left disappointed? I guess we'll have to wait for that some other time...

She has another friend to deal with this time.... And yet again, a friend she thinks is one of her closest... may be the closest... he is the only one who has been in touch for a long time now.. and even bothers to keep in touch no matter how or where he is....So.. he is jumping into the well too... well... I mean to say, he is also going to be 'engaged' and she couldn't help wondering how he would change... Being the kind of friends they are, she actually spoke to him about it - and the result - a 6 six month bet!!! Based on experience, she has realized people go through 4 phases -

Phase 1 - this is the phase when you start liking someone... and so you'd need someone to talk to about it... who else but your friends?
Phase 2 - That someone becomes the special someone... and you still remember your friend...
Phase 3 - The special someone takes over all your time... and the friend a remote corner of your mind...
Phase 4 - A friend? Who are you talking about? I am happy with my life partner!!!

Before you start commenting or criticizing, let me tell you that this is just her thoughts!! her opinions based on how she has been treated by her friends... So if you dont feel it that way, ignore!!!

So.. coming back to the bet, the time line of the bet is 6 months... He is expected to reach Phase 4 in 6 months time... and it has been more than a month since the bet was placed...This is one bet she wouldnt mind losing... she wouldn't want another 'best' friend drifting away from her... But how it goes, only time will tell... And I'll try my best to update... You know my blog frequency better :) :)
